Registration is Free.
Fee payable by Family/Nursery on placement of introduced candidate.
Permanent Positions
Full Time positions 3 x gross weekly salary
Part Time positions 3.5 x gross weekly salary
Full time fee will be charged for positions over £16,000 per Annum
Temporary Positions
Up to 12 week placements £100 first week, £50 per week thereafter
3 to 6 months 2 x gross weekly salary

Terms & Conditions 2022
1. Contract
These terms and conditions shall represent a legally binding contract between the client or employer (the "Client") and Amanda Thornberry trading as Chiltern Childcare 19 Boughton Way, Little Chalfont, Bucks HP6 6PU (the "Agency"). The term "Candidate" means a person introduced by the Agency.
1.1 An introduction is deemed to be made when the agency notifies the client of a candidate’s details.
1.2 If a candidate introduced by the agency accepts an offer of employment from the client an introduction fee shall be payable calculated in accordance with the fee structure below.
1.3 The client shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions if (i) the client receives an introduction of a candidate from the agency and/or contacts the candidate and/or interviews the candidate and/or thereafter engages the candidate. (ii) The client introduces a candidate or passes on an introduction to another employer.
2. Fees Permanent Nannies:
Part time positions x 3.5 gross weekly salary
Full time positions x 3 gross weekly salary
Full time fee will be charged for positions over £16,000 per Annum
Temporary positions: Up to 12 week placements; £100 for first week, £50 per week thereafter
Three –Six months placements; 2 x gross weekly salary
Nanny introduction for the purposes of a regular Babysitter £80
2.1 The introduction fee payable will be dependent upon whether the placement of a candidate by the agency is a permanent or temporary placement and shall be payable in accordance with the fee structure set out above.
2.2 All Salaries are GROSS unless otherwise stated.
2.3 The client agrees to notify the agency immediately of any offer of an engagement which it makes to a candidate and to pay the agency fee within 14 days of the date of invoice.
2.4 If a candidate introduced by the agency is rejected (or rejects an offer of employment) by the client, a full introduction fee will be payable if the candidate is subsequently employed by the client at any time.
2.5 If a client employs a candidate that has been introduced by the agency but does not inform the agency within 7 days the fee payable will be subject to a 25% surcharge.
2.6 For all placements the introduction fee will become due and payable within 14 days from the date of invoice.
2.7 The agency reserves the right to charge the client a 25% surcharge on all accounts not settled within 14 days and in addition to that re-claim any cost incurred by the agency as a result of chasing for payment (including debtors fees).
2.8 Should the candidate be placed in a temporary or short term position and subsequently be offered a permanent position, permanent placement fee will apply. Temporary or short term fee will be deducted from this fee.
3. Confidentiality
3.1 All information supplied by the agency is confidential. If the client passes on details of a candidate to a third party who subsequently employs the candidate then the client will remain liable for the full introduction fee. The replacement provisions listed in section 5 will not apply. 3.2 All information supplied by the client will be kept confidential and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 3.3 By agreeing to these terms and conditions the client is allowing the passing of certain contact information from agency to candidate.
4 Introduction by Third Parties.
It is the obligation of the client to immediately inform the agency when a candidate is introduced by the agency, who has already been introduced by a third party. If the client does not inform the agency before any meeting/interview takes place, then it will be presumed that the introduction has been effected by the agency and the relevant fee will become applicable should a position be offered and accepted.
5. Refunds and replacements
5.1 If the employment of the candidate terminates before the expiry of 4 weeks from commencement of engagement the following scale of refund will be given subject to clause 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 5.8 below:
If the candidate leaves within the first four weeks – 100% refund
5.2 The agency is informed within 3 days of the termination.
5.3 The relevant fees have been settled within 14 days of date of invoice
5.4 The employment has not been terminated due to unreasonable demands by the client or a change in job description or job location.
5.5 The client is still intending to employ a child carer and the agency is given 4 weeks to find a suitable replacement.
5.6 No refund will be given where the client retains the services of a candidate even though the client considers the candidate unsatisfactory.
5.7 No refund will be given where the client withdraws their offer of employment to the candidate.
5.8 Once one free replacement has been found, there are no further refunds or replacements offered.
6. Suitability and references
The agency strives to ensure the suitability of any candidate introduced to the client and carries out all relevant reference checks. In any event, Chiltern Childcare shall not introduce a candidate to the client until such time that it has confirmation as to the identity of the applicant, seen evidence of their qualifications and has received confirmation from the same that they are willing to work in the position offered. However the client must satisfy themselves to the overall suitability of any candidate introduced. The agency advises all clients to take up references provided by the candidate, check and retain copies of the candidates ID and necessary certificates. Similarly no warranty is offered in respect of the suitability, honesty, capability or character of any candidate introduced by the agency and employed by the client. The agency does not accept any responsibility for or give any warranty as to the accuracy of the information supplied to them by the candidate and which is then forwarded to the client. The agency will inform the client within three months of a candidate being employed of any information which subsequently comes to light that suggest they are unsuitable for the role.
6.1 The agency endeavors to take all such steps as are reasonable and practicable to ensure the client and candidate are aware of any requirements imposed by law or any professional body to enable the candidate to work in the position which the client seeks to fill.
6.2 The client is responsible for obtaining work permits and/or such other permission to work as may be required for the arrangement of medical examinations and/or investigations into the medical history of any candidate and satisfying of any medical requirements qualifications or permission required by the law of England and Wales.
6.3 The client is responsible for ensuring that their home contents insurance includes cover for Employers and Public Liability insurance for domestic workers, including child carers.
6.4 Candidates are not the employees of the agency.
7. Liability
The agency shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay costs or compensation (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which may be suffered or incurred by the client arising from or in any way connected with the agency seeking a candidate for the client or from an introduction to or engagement of any candidate by the client or from the failure of the agency to introduce any candidate.
